Fashion Week Fall-Winter 2019
I have a pleasure to take you with me behind the scenes, on backstages to discover the young Chinese Paris - Based designer, Liu Chao and his Fall-Winter 2019/2020 collection presented on Sunday 3rd March at the Hôtel Salomon Rothschild. For this collection’s art direction, Liu Chao worked with the Bamboo Art, and the make-ups where done by Shiseido
"This collection Liu Chao was searching the “neutrality” culture since the beginning of the time,trying to combine the business women from the 80s, Peter Burns’s neutrality dress code and the French haute couture spirit together. In this collection, the designer has used a lot of velvet asmaterial. The woman to whom he speaks is an independent woman, strong, with character, who hasself-confidence and who is interested in fashion. She wants a wardrobe that allows her to go to workas well as to go out in the evening. All the accessories she wears on this runway are pieces found on the Paris flea markets."

Mimii is a dressmaker with Spanish origins born in Zurich. After graduating from Istituto Marangoni in Paris and working as a costume designer at the Conservatoire de Luxembourg, Mimii decided to launch her own label.
Mimii draws inspiration from artists from the 20th century such as Otto Dix, David Hockney and Matisse.For her first presentation in Paris, Mimii created A-line dresses, separates and accessories such as bags and collars with velvet, tartan and feather embellishments to express playfulness. She also worked on mixing patterns and textures to create high-fashion silhouettes topped off with matching bags. Set in an art gallery, the presentation featured drawings by Mimii on the floors and bodypainting on the models to bring the colorful world of Mimii to life.
